Peace Corps Dominican Republic

When I first applied to be a Peace Corps volunteer, their advertisement was "Peace Corps: The Toughest Job You'll Ever Love." This was definitely true for me. My Peace Corps time in the Dominican Republic was definitely the toughest (volunteer) job I ever loved. No one forced us to fill out the 100 page application, write two essays, get "professional" references and a B.A. degree just so we could live in poverty, without running water or electricity in a third world country for two years.
