Part VI | 1700 AD | The Paisley Crystal Ball
Captain Jack had no idea what he was getting himself into when he ventured into the Swindler's Den.
The Flying Dutchman sat silently in the dark water, bathed in an eerie turquoise glow as the notorious pirate approached the entrance to the Swindler's Den. Set was waiting inside with a complaint issued by Sophie O regarding a payment long past due, but Captain Jack had a few questions of his own.
"What on Earth were the two of you doing in Northern Britain? " Jack draped his jacket around the back of a chair and ordered a whiskey.
"It's a long story my friend, but we had come upon hard times with nowhere else to go." Set wasn't happy and his face gave away what he was feeling inside.
"I have a feeling someone is still trying to hold us responsible for that incident involving the Druid King, but Sophie has a complaint of her own."
"Why don't you order yourself a drink on me Set, and I'll see if I can find your Druid King." Captain Jack glanced across the room and spotted Fiona in a corner digging through her belongings.
"There she is!" Jack waved the red-haired Irish girl over for a seat at their table and pulled out a few coins for more drinks and a platter of roasted lamb.
"What can you tell us about the Druid King?" Jack grinned at Fiona in a friendly manner as their dinner arrived.
